The political cartoon was drawn by Jerry Holbert who is a staff cartoonist for the Boston Herald. The key objects in the cartoon are the deficit, debt, and slow economy. All of these different objects are represented as Thanksgiving leftovers that The White House still has to deal with The cartoonist uses satire because he represents all the different problems that our nations is currently facing as leftovers. The cartoon deals with the different economic issues are nation is facing such as the deficit, national debt, and the slowly recovering economy. The cartoon's message is that The White House needs to start cleaning up the mess we are currently in and start fixing these different economic problems. The cartoonists point-of-view is probably more conservative because of the way he is criticizing The White House for its current actions on these different issues.
